Why do people say میگم instead of میگویم?
In spoken Tehran Farsi, میگویم almost always contracts to میگم — the formal ending softens in everyday speech. You'll hear this pattern everywhere: میخواهم → میخوام, میآیم → میام. Want to practice the ones from your last lesson?
